Mobile Mini Hires New CFO; CFO Trachtenberg to Retire at Year End
Mobile Mini has hired Mark Funk, age 46, currently the Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.'s Structured Debt Group, as its new CFO. He will join the company on November 3rd to assume the retiring CFO Lawrence Trachtenberg's responsibilities.
Funk had worked with Mobile Mini's finance team on several of the company's important financial transactions including acquisitions, debt offerings and expanded credit facilities. Funk was integrally involved in securing the Company's new $900 million asset-based revolving credit facility, which facilitated Mobile Mini's June 2008 merger with Mobile Storage Group, Inc.
Funk earned a BS in Business Administration from California State University - Long Beach and a MBA from UCLA. Funk passed the CPA exam and joined the public accounting firm of KPMG. Mark was subsequently promoted to Supervising Senior Auditor. In 1988, he joined Deutsche Bank Securities.
Funk will start with a base annual salary of $341,250, a bonus for the 2009 fiscal year equal to at least 25% of his base salary, an initial grant of restricted stock worth $750,000 at the date of grant which will vest over three years, an automobile allowance of $600 per month, reimbursement of reasonable moving expenses, $1,000 per month for six months to help off-set his commuting expenses, and three months standard business hotel accommodations while he completes his move. Additionally, Funk will participate in Mobile Mini's equity-based incentive plans and its other employee benefit plans.
Trachtenberg has entered into a new employment agreement in which he will serve as a non-officer employee as of January 1, 2009 and assist Mobile Mini. The agreement provides for a termination date of February 28, 2012, and a salary of $75,000 annually in 2009 and $1,000 per month thereafter until termination.
